We’re in the middle of Earth Month. It’s a great time to celebrate our one-and-only home and work toward protecting it from ourselves.

Today’s Baby’s Expensive Life
“Failure to address climate change could leave future generations with an unimaginable financial burden – around $500,000 in extra costs to a baby born this year, a new study commissioned by Consumer Reports has found.” Read this interesting and eye-opening Consumer Reports article at https://action.consumerreports.org/nb-20240405-ccccsignup?utm_campaign=nb_20240411_ccccemailblast&utm_medium=email&utm_source=cr
Silly? I Think Not!
My brain is tired of trying to solve big political, geo-political, environmental, and social problems. So, today lets contemplate questions that some might think trivial–yea, even silly. But don’t all questions deserve at least attempted answers?
Do twins ever realize that one of them is unplanned? What if my dog only brings back my ball because he thinks I like throwing it? If poison expires, is it more poisonous or is it no longer poisonous? Which letter is silent in the word “Scent,” the S or the C? Why is the letter W, in English, called double U? Shouldn’t it be called double V?
Future Vacation Spots

Invitation to Free Event

See flyer for details (I’m 2nd from the right). Bring your friends. 421 Vineyard Town Center, Morgan Hill 95037. If you can’t attend but would like to buy my book The Women in Me: How They Helped Me Survive and Thrive, Google the entire title and add ODonnell. You’ll have a large choice of online bookstores to get it in print or eBook.)
Fine Print
I know this has been around awhile. But I just got off the phone with the Apple store, and this lightened my frustration.
Signs of Dementia in Your Loved One
It’s a touchy and deeply concerning subject. Is my loved one showing signs of dementia, or is it simply part of the aging process? Read about the signs of dementia in 10 Warning Signs of Dementia You Shouldn’t Ignore. It defines dementia and will help you recognize the early signs so you can seek treatment and support.
Is Mother Nature Fighting Back?
Each day the news reports another earthquake, devastating storm or flood, fires started by weather or by the fact that “greenery” is drying in the unmerciful heat. I can’t help wondering if Mother Nature is saying to us, “You’re not taking proper care of my Earth. The planet is not well and is getting sicker. Nourish it; care for it.” No, it’s not that Mother Nature is fighting back–she’s just putting out a cry for help. It’s a cry that we MUST respond to!

After a Loved-One’s Death
When a loved one passes away, we grieve. We keep them in our hearts, but we move on. Today’s Thursday Thought quote tells us how to honor them.
