Down but not Out

Did you miss me?  I hope so.  I was  busy pulling my hair out over the fact that my website/blog was gone.  I know that the cyber-trolls that live under the Net Bridge like to  mess with me.  But, once again, I defeated them.  And I’m back to my Monday-through-Saturday postings.  I’m collecting ideas now to inflict on you next week.  (Tomorrow, of course, is my Sensible Saturday, focusing on the environment.)

My Thanks to Jody for Featuring Me

I would like to thank Jody at www.mystateart.com for featuring me in her blog, My State Art.  Her blog highlights people from various aspects of the artistic life–writers, poets, artists, musicians.  Her goal is to “celebrate the independent artist.”  The blog, only six months old, is an interesting read if you enjoy “meeting” the people behind the kinds of artistic works you enjoy.  The articles are short but give a nice overview of the people she has interviewed.

Try it.  You might like it.

BrigettMayo Breaks 5000

Thanks to all of you for riding along with me.  This weekend I looked through all of names of users of my blog and counted backward from 5,120 (Saturday’s count) to see who was the person who put me at 5,000.  That was BrigettMayo.  A special thanks to her.

When my son finally talked me into doing a blog I told him nobody would read it.  I did it because I like to write and express my sometimes-oddball, sometimes concerned feelings about the world I’m wandering around in.  I’m gratified–and very appreciative–to see that a bunch of people read my blog every day and that people are listening and enjoying enough to return.

And my son gets to say, “I told you so!”
