What Our Clutter Says About Us

What part of your home do you feel comfortable allowing clutter to gather?  Care2’s Green Living author Shubhra Krishan suggests that specific cluttered rooms reflect who we are:

  • A packed basement is a sign that you are loyal and emotional.
  • A crowded linen closet shows you are a creative person.
  • A full kitchen table indicates that you are a nurturer and preserver.
  • An overflowing bedside table is a clue to your curious and bright personality.

As for me, I now know that I’m a loyal, emotional, creative person who nurtures   those around her, that l long to can strawberry preserves, and that I am curious and bright enough to learn how to do it.  How about you?

I’m not sure what my clutter tells me, but I know it’s my clutter, and no body else’s! My bedside table is overflowing, I’m not sure if it’s a clue to a curious personality. I look at it sometimes as nesting, who knows what that means!

Nesting is having the piles you are working with, these are within arms length. Also keeping those things at hand around you.
